The Eastern Theater Command of the Chinese People’s Liberation Army has tonight announced a snap-military exercise in the Taiwan Strait and around the Island of Taiwan, dubbed Exercise “Justice Mission 2025” which will begin later this evening and last until Tuesday, December 30. Elements of the People’s Liberation Army, Navy, Air Force, and Rocket Force will participate in the exercise, which appears to be yet another attempt to simulate a blockade of Taiwan from the north, south, and east, rehearsing the beginning stages of a future invasion of the island by China.2 nedēļa atpakaļ

Kā ziņo RFI, aizsardzības sekretārs Pīts Hegsets un aizsardzības ministrs Dons Džuns otrdien tikās videozvanā, kurā apsprieda vairākus jautājumus, tostarp Taivānas jautājumu. Ministrs Dons Džuns sacīja aizsardzības sekretāram Hegsetam, ka jebkādas shēmas, kuru mērķis ir izmantot militāru spēku neatkarības veicināšanai vai izmantot Taivānu Ķīnas ierobežošanai, "tiks novērstas". Hegsets skaidri norādīja, ka Amerikas Savienotās Valstis negrasās darīt šādas lietas, vienlaikus uzsverot, ka ASV ir būtiskas intereses Indo-Klusā okeāna reģionā un ka tās "apņēmīgi aizsargās" šīs intereses.
